Iceland’s Election Confirmed for April 27

Iceland’s Ministry of the Interior will later today formally announce that the country’s general election will be held on April 27, mbl.is reports.

According to regulations on national elections in Iceland, this year’s election should take place on April 27. The last election was held on April 25, 2009.

Absentee voting is expected to be available as of March 2013.
