Last night, a large iceberg was spotted approximately ten nautical miles North-West of Skagatá, which is in Skagafjördur fjord. Ships sailing in the area also sailed through a plate of ice, which can be treacherous, the ship’s captain told visir.is.

The iceberg has not been examined up close and therefore it is now known whether it might contain a Polar bear. Polar bears have been known to travel on icebergs to Iceland.
