Telecommunication company NOVA, along with Samsung and the city of Reykjavík, have opened an ice-skating rink in Ingólfsstræti square, downtown Reykjavík.
This year, over 100.000 light bulbs will light the entire square, a total of 60.000 more light bulbs than the year before. Decorated cabins, forming a mini-Christmas village, are situated on the other side of the square, selling food and drinks.
The ice skating rink will be open every day, between 12pm-10pm, until December 24th. Admission is free for anyone with skates. Those without can rent skates on the spot.
