Hunt for Christmas Creatures in Reykjavík

The Reykjavík Art Museum-Hafnarhús is running a hunt for the Icelandic Christmas Creatures—including the 13 Yule Lads, the trolls Grýla and Leppalúði and the Christmas Cat—to introduce Icelandic Christmas traditions to visitors.

The game is set up as a treasure hunt within the museum with participants needing to find the Christmas Creatures and answer questions.

The aim of the project is to celebrate traditional Icelandic folklore and connect the people in the city—locals and visitors— through storytelling and discussions.

For more information, visit the Tourist Information Center on Aðalstræti or museums in the capital.
