By Iceland Review

Animal ecologist Gudmundur A. Gudmundsson recently retrieved bones at Kjölur, which he assumes to be from a human skull, reports. He reported the find to the police.

A human skull.

Gudmundsson immediately suspected the bone to be human and then got confirmation from a medical student. However, definite confirmation is still awaited.

Gudmundsson told Skagafjördur’s news website Feykir that he could not determine the bone’s age but said that it would undoubtedly be analyzed.
