Huffington Post: ‘How U.S. Can Have an Icelandic Revolution’

Icelandic MP for the Pirate Party Birgitta Jónsdóttir is quoted on how to bring about a revolution in an article entitled ‘5 Ways the U.S. Can Have an Icelandic Revolution,’ published on huffingtonpost.com yesterday.

“We have to nationalize the banks. We have to get rid of the government. We need to have access to the internet seen as a human right. We need to have a new Constitution,” Birgitta is quoted. “We can create power and be the government and be the media. If Iceland can do it, you can do it,” she adds.

The five steps outlined in the article, written by US Uncut founder Carl Gibson involve striving for unity, turning central demands into goals, ‘being the banks,’ ‘being the government’ and a participatory process in drafting a new constitution.
