The number of accommodation nights in June amounted to 133,700 in all of Iceland, compared to 123,900 in the same month in 2005. This is an increase of some eight percent. Both Icelanders and foreign visitors are responsible for the increase. The availability of accommodation also went up, with the number of rooms up by two percent and the number of beds up by one percent over the previous year.
