The employees of the Tourist Information Center in Reykjavík have gathered information on the opening hours of restaurants, tour operators, swimming pools, museums, stores and other places and services of interest to travelers over Christmas and New Year’s.

The City of Reykjavík has also announced a tourism policy for 2011-2020, the creation of which involved approximately 300 people, a press release states.
The policy will be formally introduced at an open meeting early next year; its main emphasis will be placed on marketing Reykjavík as a Winter City, Conference City, Health City and Culture City.
