A tourist, who had called for assistance after getting lost hiking along Fimmvörðurháls, in the highlands in South Iceland, was found unharmed in his tent last night, mbl.is reports. More than 100 rescue workers took part in the search, some of them on snowmobiles or in specially equipped trucks.
The man had provided the 112 emergency line and police with different GPS coordinates, making it hard to locate him.
Conditions for searching were difficult, snowfall and poor visibility.
