Rangers at Vatnajökull National Park have given Icelandic film production company Sagafilm, which is assisting with the shoot, permission to close the area, ruv.is reports.

The area to be temporarily closed extends from the car park at Hafrafell to the track west to Freysnes, as stated on the national park’s website.

A total of 350 people, including 130 Icelanders, are expected to work on the film in Iceland.

Nolan previously worked in Iceland, in the same area at Svínafellsjökull, on Batman Begins in 2004.
