Hikers Rescued from Mt. Esja

Four hikers in their late teens were rescued by members of a search and rescue service after losing sight of the landmarks they were following on Mt. Esja, which overlooks Reykjavík, on Saturday evening.

The search and rescue service was called out at 6:30 pm and located the lost hikers shortly afterwards in Gljúfurdalur valley, DV reports.

All men were unharmed, though according to police, very cold. More than 30 search and rescue members participated in the search.
