Tourists in Iceland are reporting an increased satisfaction with their visits to the country, reports RÚV. According to a survey conducted by Isavia, The Icelandic Tourist Board, and Gallup, tourist satisfaction was ranked at over 84 points in October and November of 2017. This is the highest ranking that the survey has returned since September 2016, when satisfaction was ranked at 84.9 points.
The survey measured tourists’ total travel experience and asked, among other things, if travelers would recommend Iceland as a destination, if their overall expectations were met on their trip, and whether their trip was worth the money they spent on it. Results were organized by nationality.
Polish tourists reported the highest level of satisfaction, ranking at 88.4 points. The next highest result was yielded by American visitors, who ranked their experience at 85.5 points. Irish tourists were the least satisfied with their stays in Iceland, ranking their satisfaction at 77.2 points.
The survey was sent via email to tourists who recently visited Keflavík airport. Around 1,500 responses were received. Full results by nationality can be found on the Gallup website.
