This year’s first Golden Plovers were seen in Seltjarnarnes, west Reykjavík yesterday by a British ornithologist. According to the Icelandic Natural History Institute, Golden Plovers normally arrive between the 24th and 31st of March , so this year they’re unusually early, perhaps due to the mild weather.
