Helgi Hrafn Releases Second Solo Album

Icelandic musician Helgi Hrafn Jónsson released his second solo album For the Rest of My Childhood in Iceland this week. The album already hit the Scandinavian market in October and since then Helgi Hrafn has been on tour.

For the Rest of My Childhood has received positive reviews in the Scandinavian press, a respectable music magazine, GAFFA, gave it five out of six stars, according to a press release from Kimi Records.

In fact, Helgi Hrafn has been on tour for the past 18 months working with Faroese musician Teitur, Iceland’s Sigur Rós and Denmark’s Tina Dico as a trombonist. “I love performing with other people. I get to play all sorts of music, while promoting my own,” he told Fréttabladid.

Helgi Hrafn will celebrate the release of his latest album in Iceland with a concert in early April, but an exact date and location has not been released.
