The Icelandic Met Office warns people of heavy rain in South and West Iceland today and tomorrow. Almost constant rain is forecast for today, tomorrow and into Thursday for those areas, and windy conditions at times, especially in the Snæfellsnes peninsula.
Please keep in mind that falling leaves can clog drains, resulting in flooding. Therefore, it’s important to make sure drains are clear.
The heavy rainfall can also be expected to cause rivers and creeks to swell, so drivers are asked to show caution. The Met Office specifically asks travelers not to attempt to cross unbridged rivers and creeks.
Conditions in the north and east will remain mostly dry and mild today and tomorrow.
