The temperature in Seyðisfjörður, East Iceland, today topped 17°C (63°F). The temperature was higher there than in London and Stockholm (8°C; 48°F), and Paris and Moscow (12°C; 53°F). In New York the temperature was 14°C (57°F).

Just two days ago, 140 tourists got stranded in buses due to icy conditions on the mountain pass leading to Seyðisfjörður, the result of an earlier snowstorm in the region.
The temperature will remain relatively warm in Seyðisfjörður over the next few days. The forecast for Reykjavík tomorrow is 9°C (49°F), which is unseasonably warm.
Iceland plays Cyprus in the World Cup qualifiers tomorrow night.
