Sara was considered fundamental in the national team in women’s football’s success in the eight-team finals of the European Championships in Sweden. Sara played 12 of the team’s 13 matches and scored two goals.
At FC Rosengård (formerly Malmö), Sara scored eight goals in 20 games and the team went on to win the Swedish title convincingly, losing just one game in 22. Sara was among three footballers to be nominated as best female midfielder in Sweden last season.
