Gully Gawk Arrives in Town

The second Yule Lad, Gully Gawk (Giljagaur in Icelandic), arrives in town today. Gully Gawk is said to hide in gullies, waiting for an opportunity to sneak into the cowshed and steal milk.

The Yule Lads, the Icelandic version of Santa Claus, one of the differences being that there are 13 of them, come down from the mountains one by one starting December 12 to treat well-behaved children to presents.
