Gudbrandur’s Bible Sold

A copy of Gudbrandur’s Bible, the first Icelandic printing of the bible, sold for three times its projected value in Copenhagen yesterday.

The book, which was printed in the Hólar Bishopry in 1584, was sold for 300,000 Danish crowns, or 4 million ISK. (About 63,000 USD).
