Blizzard conditions have grounded four Icelandair planes at Keflavik International Airport. As of 11:00 am, pilots were signalling that it was unsafe to take off due to a lack of visibility.
The Storm is expected to moderate by this afternoon, but until then passengers are on stand by. Inclement weather also grounded all domestic flights this morning.
And Highway 1, the Ring Road, has been closed from Reykjavik to Selfoss due to heavy wind and snow.
