An aeroplane from Air Berlin had been grounded in Keflavík Airport, Iceland for the past weeks due to unpaid charges. It took off yesterday at 5:20 PM local time and landed in Germany. Víkurfréttir reports.
The aeroplane was grounded on October 20th due to Air Berlin being unable to pay its fee. The company filed for administration in August, after having operated for nearly 40 years. Its assets will be sold to rival companies in Germany.
According to Víkurfréttir, this may be Air Berlin‘s last voyage overseas.
