A family in Reykjavík got an uninvited guest for dinner last weekend. When they were preparing a salad a green spider suddenly appeared out of a bag of asparagus.
The spider tried to escape, but was captured in a glass jar. Ingthór Ingólfsson, who discovered the spider, told Fréttabladid that he will probably try to find out to which species the green spider belongs.
The asparagus which had hosted the spider came from Spain and had been bought in Hagkaup supermarket in Smáralind shopping center.
