Graffiti a Growing Problem in Reykjavík

Police caught a young man who was spray-painting a bus in Reykjavík on Tuesday. The man carried a digital camera containing a number of images of graffiti, which is a growing problem in Iceland’s capital.

“It is not uncommon that people take pictures of the graffiti they produce and post them on the internet, but they rarely post them under their real names,” Páll Hilmarsson, who has been investigating graffiti in Reykjavík, told 24 Stundir.

Police confiscated two cans of spray-paint and magic-markers, which the young man caught spray-painting the bus was carrying.
