According to a new opinion poll, support for the Independence Party and the ruling coalition has increased slightly.
The survey was conducted between December 9 and 16 and includes answers from 1,097 randomly selected respondents, aged 18 and over.
The MMR survey concludes that support for the Independence Party now stands at 29.4 percent, compared to 25.4 percent in the last poll, which ended on November 25.
The government’s overall approval rating now stands at 37.3 percent and measured 36.4 percent in the last poll—and 33 percent in the previous one, which ended on November 4.
Support for the senior coalition party, the Progressive Party, stands at 11 percent; putting it behind the Independence Party, Bright Future, the Social Democrats and the Pirate Party.
Nine other parties each received less than two percent support in the survey.
