Gordon Ramsey Hunts Puffins in Iceland

Scottish chef and TV star Gordon Ramsey is currently in Iceland to shoot an episode about puffins for his series The F Word.

According to 24 Stundir, Ramsey was given a puffin feast in restaurant Laekjarbrekka in Reykjavík on Thursday and then he went to the Westman Islands, allegedly to hunt a bird for himself.

Ramsey brought a team of six people to Laekjarbrekka to shoot the puffin feast. According to chef intern Saevar Pálsson, Ramsey liked the puffin they prepared for him.

Pálsson said the TV chef, who is famous for being hot-tempered, had been much kinder than the Laekjarbrekka staff had expected.

“He’s a nice guy,” Pálsson said. “Now he’s going to try to hunt a puffin himself in the Westman Islands,” he added.

Puffin is a local delicacy in the Westman Islands, but due to the bird stock being in poor condition, this year’s hunting season was shortened.
