This summer, residents and visitors to Iceland have been blessed with a record warm and sunny summer in Iceland. Day after day the weather has been fantastic, to say the least.

Visir.is reports that the exclusive salmon rivers in the west and northwest of the country are well below average in number of catches.
The heat and lack of precipitation have resulted in a significant drop in water levels with some rivers starting to run dry. The water is also warmer than usual and so the salmons are staying put, not biting.
Rain is expected in the west part of the country this weekend.
