Good Result for Kári in Olympic Marathon

Kári Steinn Karlsson finished in 42nd place out of 105 competitors in the Men’s Marathon in London today with a time of 2:18:47, 10:46 behind the gold medal winner Stephen Kiprotich from Uganda.

Kári Steinn is the first Icelander to compete in the Men’s Marathon at the Olympics, ruv.is reports.

He set the Icelandic record of 2:17:12 at the Berlin Marathon last year.
