A variety of gift certificates can be purchased via the Icelandic Church Aid’s website. For them, a goat, a chicken, school supplies, a vegetable garden or some other essential item is then purchased and donated to an impoverished family somewhere in the world.
This year, goats and chickens were the most popular gift choices but many also bought water wells or contributed to freeing children in India from debt slavery.
