An exhibition called “No Particular Order” by the noted French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon opened in Hafnarhús – the culture and art institute of Hafnarfjördur, outside Reykjavík – on April 12.
“No Particular Order” is part of the French festival “Porquoi Pas? – French Spring in Iceland” and displays a collection of photographs, which span 30 years of Bensimon’s career.
Bensimon has photographed supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington and movie stars like Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sharon Stone, Uma Thurman and Naomi Watts, as stated in a press release issued by Hafnarhús this week.
Bensimon has worked as the editor and main photographer of fashion magazine ELLE since 1999 and has been the magazine’s artistic director since it was first published in the US in 1985.
He has also been a photographer on the US Reality TV series America’s Next Top Model, hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks.
“No Particular Order” will be exhibited in Hafnarhús until May 6. Admission is free.
