Four German handball teams have made bids for Icelandic national handball player Einar Hólmgeirsson after it was announced that he would stop playing for another German team, Flensburg, by the end of the current handball season this spring.
“I will make up my mind by the end of the week. In my mind the most important thing is to be part of a good team,” Hólmgeirsson told Morgunbladid.
The teams that he can choose from are Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Grosswallstadt, Melsungen and Wetzlar. Hólmgeirsson has played with Grosswallstadt before and said he would not mind moving there again, though the other three offers also sound tempting.
