Gas Prices Keep Rising

The amount of money spent on gas by the ordinary family has been increasing steadily over the last few months.

The price of a liter of gas has increased by 30 percent in the last twelve months, from 122 ISK to 158 ISK. A liter of oil has increased by 43 percent, from 122 ISK to 174 ISK. 24 Stundir reports.

Some people have made adjustments to decrease the use of gasoline. Others have bought cars that burn less fuel. The reporter of 24 Stundir believes the average family spends around 30,000 ISK (400 USD) each month on gas.
