Gang of Thieves Caught in Iceland

A gang of thieves was uprooted by Suðurnes police on Friday. A significant amount of loot has been confiscated. Two men in their thirties and forties were arrested as part of the investigation earlier this month and placed under custody but have since been released.

The loot was found during extensive raids of apartments, garages, storage facilities and vehicles belonging to the suspects in North and South Iceland, which contained stolen ATVs, tires, tools and CD players, among other objects, visir.is reports.

The objects are believed to have been stolen in Suðurnes and the capital region. In addition to the men originally arrested, several others have been questioned in this case.

One of the suspects is believed to have been active in selling the loot, even exporting it to other countries. The investigation continues.
