Game of Thrones to Start Filming in Iceland in July

game-of-thrones_posterThe crew of the HBO television series Game of Thrones will be back in Iceland in July to film for the third time.

Filming on the two previous occasions took place during winter but this time the cast and crew—which numbers around 200—will capitalize on the long summer days.

Film production company Pegasus, which is working on the film, recently advertised for 20 bald Icelanders to work as extras. Company director Snorri Þórisson told visir.is that they had received many applications.

The series has also been filmed in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Malta, Morocco and Croatia.
