Icelandic voters report the greatest satisfaction with the work of Prime Minister Geir H. Haarde when the popularity of cabinet ministers is rated, according to a new Gallup poll. The least satisfaction was with the work of Judicial Minister Björn Bjarnason and Minister of Industry and Commerce Jón Sigurdsson. RÚV online reports.
A total of 56 percent of voters are satisfied with the PM’s work. Next in line is Minister of Education, Science and Culture Thorgerdur Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, with a 51 percent satisfaction rating. Environment Minister Siv Fridleifsdóttir follows closely behind, with 50 percent.
At the lower end of the scale are Minister for Foreign Affairs Valgerdur Sverrisdóttir with 27 percent, Minister of Communications Sturla Bödvarsson and Minister of Industry and Commerce Jón Sigurdsson, both with 26 percent, and finally Minister of Justice Björn Bjarnason, with 24 percent.
