The coalition administration formed by the the Independence Party and the Social Democratic Alliance after elections this May has an 83-percent approval rating from the electorate, according to a new Capacent Gallup poll.
RUV, the national radio, reported yesterday that Gallup has never measured an approval rating so high for the government. Almost 75 percent of the electorate approved of the coalition of the Independence Party and the Progressive Party shortly after the elections in 1995 and 1999.
Despite the results, only half of the participants in the poll agreed with the ministerial line-up of the Social Democratic Alliance and four out of ten gave the selection of the ministers of the Independent Party their approval.
