Fuel Stolen from Buses in Reykjavík

Police announced this morning that fuel had been pumped out of four buses owned by Guðmundur Tyrfingsson travel company in Reykjavík. The buses had been parked on Norðlingabraut on the outskirts of the capital.

It is not yet known how many liters were stolen but is estimated at many hundreds, according to ruv.is.

The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.

In other news, the Skeljungur and Atlantsolía gas companies announced that they would lower the price of gasoline by ISK 2 (USD 0.02, EUR 0.01) to 257.20 (USD 2.09, EUR 1.60) and 257.7 (USD 2.09, EUR 1.61), respectively, in light of a decrease in the world price of oil, mbl.is reports.
