Frost Across Much of Iceland

Cold temperatures are forecasted across the nation today, December 5.

The Icelandic Met Office’s latest update states that winds from the east are expected today, measuring 3-10 m/s, with widely scattered light clouds.

Northwest Iceland can expect the occasional snowstorm, but conditions are mostly clear.

Winds are expected to grow stronger in South Iceland tonight.

Similar weather is expected but with a slight increase in wind tomorrow. Conditions in East Iceland will be cloudy with occasional storms, but milder in West Iceland.

Temperatures across Iceland currently range from between minus 2 to 13 Celsius [28°F – 9°F]. The coldest temperatures are expected in the north while temperatures will hover around or above freezing along the southern and western coasts.
