Award-winning controversial French author Michel Houellebecq is in Iceland to introduce his novel The Map and the Territory (French: La carte et le territoire) which was recently translated by Friðrik Rafnsson into Icelandic and released as Kortið og landið.

Friðrik will introduce Houellebecq and discuss his works with him at Kaffi Sólon, Bankastræti 7a, at 8 pm tomorrow. The event will be held in French but interpretation into Icelandic will be provided.
The book is described as “part thriller, part satire” and being about “art and money, love and friendship and death, fathers and sons.”
Kortið og landið has been published by Forlagið in Iceland.
Attendance is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
