Four young men were taken by ambulance to the ER of the Landspítali National University Hospital after having been violently attacked in the capital area last night. The assailants all have a history with the police.

First two men attacked a third on Laugavegur shopping street in the center of the capital around 1 am, inflicting serious injuries to his head, visir.is reports.
The victim knew the identities of the assailants. When the police arrested two men later in the night, who had attacked a fourth individual in Hafnarfjörður, it turned out they were the assailants from Laugavegur. They will be questioned today.
The third and fourth victims were attacked on Lækjargata in Reykjavík late in the night by a man who hit them in the heads with a bottle. They suffered several cuts.
