Four people were rushed to hospital after a fire in an apartment building in the Reykjavík suburb of Breiðholt at around 5 am this morning. Two of the individuals, one of whom is in a critical condition, are in intensive care due to burns and smoke inhalation, visir.is reports.

The fire and rescue services were called to the scene and two buses were also sent to provide shelter for the other residents of the building who had to evacuate their apartments.
