Icelandic businessman Jón Ásgeir Jóhannesson, former CEO and chair of investment company Baugur Group, has joined the board of Murdock, an up-market chain of barber and grooming salons for men in London.

Fellow businessman Jón Skaftason, who works with Jón Ásgeir at Guru Capital, a venture capital business investing in retail and promising brands, is also on the board of Murdock, The Telegraph reports.
Jón Ásgeir, who used to be majority owner of Glitnir Bank which collapsed in 2008, is involved in a number of court cases filed by Iceland’s Special Prosecutor’s Office. He was recently found guilty of extensive tax evasion.
