Foreign Media Follows Elections in Iceland Closely

A number of journalists from at least 20 foreign media outlets came to Iceland last weekend to report on the parliamentary elections on Saturday. The British outlet of Arab television station Al Jazeera broadcast live from the event.

Reporters came from Scandinavia, the European mainland, the United States and Japan among other countries, Fréttabladid reports.

Iceland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs provided practical information about the elections in English to the foreign press corps and other assistance to those who requested it.
