Everton have reached an agreement with Swansea to sign Icelandic football player Gylfi Þór Sigurðsson for a club-record fee of GBP 45 million (USD 58 million/EUR 49.4 million), The Guardian reports. Negotiations between the two Premier League teams over the player have taken over a month, with Swansea originally valuing the player at GBP 50 million and rejecting several offers from Everton.
Gylfi is a midfielder and plays for the Iceland national team. His sale to Everton is subject to a medical check, which the footballer will undergo today.
