Fooled Police, but Left his Name with the Cannabis

The Reykjavík Police stopped three young people in a car over the weekend. The people were driving from Heidmörk, a park just outside Reykjavík. On inspection the police smelled cannabis in the car but a thorough search revealed no illegal substances, so the people were released.

A little later the police found a piece of paper on the roadside, wrapped around a small amount of cannabis. The paper was a printout of an e-mail to the driver.

Hence, the police was waiting for the young man when he came home. He was arrested and a urine sample proved that he had been using cannabis.
