A key feature of the festival involves world-acclaimed and upcoming chefs from Europe and the U.S. collaborating with some of Reykjavík’s best restaurants. Each chef prepares a special menu using only Icelandic ingredients at one of the restaurants which is featured for a period of one week.
A chef competition takes part on the final day of the festival. Participants are tasked with designing three courses, again using only Icelandic ingredients.
