FM Belfast Releases US Debut and Tours Europe

Icelandic dance pop band FM Belfast is set to release its debut album How To Make Friends, with the label Kimi Records, in the US in the coming spring. The band is also preparing for a European tour.

What started as an informal duo in 2005 has developed into an ambitious band with the number of members ranging between three and 45 performers (including members of múm and Benni Hemm Hemm), as stated on icelandicmusic.is.

Despite not having an album out in the US last year, FM Belfast performed at the 2009 SXSW to packed venues.

The Austin Chronicle listed them as one of their “Bands to Watch,” while the Denver Post named them one of the “Top 10 New Finds.”

FM Belfast embarks on its European tour later this month.
