Flying Pace World Record and Double Gold

The gold medal in flying pace in 250 meter went to the Icelandic team: Bergþór (Beggi) Eggertsson on Lotus frá Aldenghoor made the 250 meters in 21.97 seconds—a new world record, while Iben Katrine Andersen from Denmark on Skuggi frá Hávarðarkoti came second in 22.17 seconds.

In the class of the young riders, Icelandic team member Konráð Valur Sveinsson on Þórdís frá Lækjarbotnum won the gold medal. His red mare ran the distance in 23.89 seconds.
