Fishing Fleet Sailing Again

Icelandic fishing vessels have been leaving harbor since fishermen struck a deal with Fisheries Iceland on Sunday night, RÚV reports. Last night, representatives of the two fishermen associations which had rejected that contract, signed their own.

About sixty Icelandic fishing vessels are now either already fishing or on their way to fishing grounds. Sixteen of them are east of the country, equally many west of the country, eleven north of Iceland and nine by the West Fjords. Only six boats are fishing in the south.
