Fischer in Solitary Confinement

Saemundur Pálsson, Bobby Fischer’s one-time bodyguard in 1972, has been denied visitation with the former chess champion. Having travelled to Japan to deliver a temporary residence permit, Pálsson has been frustrated by Japanese authorities, who claim Fischer violated conditions of his detention.

Pálsson has set a press conference for later today.
