Memorial services were held yesterday to remember the 21-year old victim of a fire in Saudarkrokur, in northern Iceland. During the service, the pastor also gave thanks for the three survivors of the fire.
The fire occurred early in the morning on Saturday. Firemen reacted quickly and were able to save one young man. A woman jumped from a window into the arms of passers-by to save herself, and another man escaped by crawling out of the balcony.
There is no report on how the fire may have started.
